The incredibly popular indie title Rocket League blasted its way onto Switch late last year. What made it’s release on the system so great aside from the fact that it’s the first true portable version of the game, is that it has full cross-platform multiplayer support with PC and Xbox One players (PS4 users aren’t included due to Sony’s policies). This made a lot of players quite happy for the simple reason that this allows Switch users to always find an online match, on top of being able to play with friends who have the game on another platform. While the functionality already works great, Psyonix is looking to expand upon on it later this year www.lolga.com .
A Twitter user recently reached out to dev-team asking when cross-platform parties would be coming to the game. Psyonix confirmed that they’re still hard at work on making sure that the functionality will be coming this year. However, it was also mentioned that they aren’t quite sure exactly when it will be added to the game since they’re still looking into the details of it all. On top of that, it appears that there is a chance that not every version of the game will be supported at the same time whenever the feature launches.
