There was lots of controversy shrouding Lion and Finka, as a result of their"global" abilities that affected all players simultaneously. Is that something you're still looking into for Operators? Or are you focusing on these scale skills?
We learn a lot from all Operators we release. And it's one buy Rainbow Six Siege Credits of those things where sometimeswe know things that we've done that are excellent and we apply those to other Operators.
[...] You will not ever hear any of our balancing staff say,"Oh yeah, we got it all perfect." You will never hear us say that. But we are learning and we are constantly improving. And being able to choose learnings from things we have done previously and apply that understanding to prospective Operators is something that all our game designers are really proficient at doing and it is something we're placing a focus on moving forward.

We learn a lot we discharge. And it is one of those things R6 Items where sometimes, we learn things that we have done that are excellent and we employ people to other Operators. And occasionally we learn things that aren't really good, and we figure out how to apply those learnings to future Operators too.

Moving onto your rework of Hereford, and fans to Clubhouse and Consulate. As you are looking back at your past maps, are there mistakes or design options that you are contemplating, seeing how Rainbow Six Siege has evolved?
Well, I would call it a mistake. Hereford was among the maps we ever constructed, it was the very first map we ever had our competitive games on. So Hereford was built to be performed at a different game than what we have now. Along with the idea of what we had and the way Rainbow Six Siege will play pre-launch, then the way Rainbow Six is performed with our players and what they have taught us very different matches.
Hence the reworking of Hereford base, it was a very great opportunity to take this iconic map that had any issues that prevented it from being viable and giving it a facelift. But if you're familiar with the Hereford, and you've played on the newest Hereford, it's more of a brand new map than a facelift. We were able to have a lot of what our level design has heard over the past few years from our players, and apply that to Hereford, with such as perpendicular gameplay, and rotations, and roaming and each of those things. So we are able to improve upon these older maps in ways that we did not realize they had to be improved upon when they were released.
