Click here to write your articleClassic doesn't need to be a struggle, but you can play with it that way if you want to. Retail leveling is not challenging. The only exception to this is when I walked into the Deadmines (a 5-man instanced dungeon) and started killing the dinosaurs in my. In Classic, I have to be cautious about what degree they are relative to me, and how many dinosaurs I tug. I also need to ensure I'm topped before a multi-mob fight on wellness and mana and that I will need to heal between every engagement. In Retail, I almost never stop to eat or drink.
The combined effect of these changes means leveling in Retail WoW is much quicker than in Classic. Below are my leveling occasions for each level in Classic versus Retail. Because I managed to bounce several amounts through quicker than many others the line isn't right. The chart below shows my accumulative leveling time.
As of this writing, I've played 492 minutes (8.2 hours) at Retail and 1713 minutes (28.5 hours) in Classic. 17-18 was a pain point; it took me a while to complete quest objectives and the zones I was questing in were equally stuffed. I spent time leveling up careers. I hit Lvl 20 in Retail more than 3x quicker than I attained the aim in Classic.
In Classic WoW, the very best way is to degree in dungeons or do quests. The relatively short time I spent going from 18-19 and 19-20 is because I conducted Deadmines at the first instance and booted up with individuals to do quests in the second. In Retail, it matters. Hitting dungeons is a fantastic method to understand how to group and get some quests out of the way, but you do not have to do it. You have things that are better than you'll receive differently, In case you have Heirloom gear.
In Classic WoW, the Paladin is a support class, with strong, short-term buffs. Paladins have more buffs and our fans have special effects that no class has. We can give incentives to strike power and mana regeneration, reduce the damage taken by physical attacks, reduce the danger other courses generate, move damage taken by other classes to ourselves, and enthusiast the resistances of other courses (and ourselves) to different elemental damage. I'm still missing the majority of these skills at Level 20, however I throw those I have constantly.
