I have about a dozen individuals which were interested in PSO2 and are wholly unphased by it being on the window's shop as it's something they are all forced to have in their customer anyway. PSO lacks appeal that is real and has always been in a place. As I've repeatedly said I can jump windows store off if possible but I do not really see what all the fuss is about.
It is not a healthy platform whatsoever for non based games, especially a game like PSO2 which only survives on how many men and women are playing and utilizing the store. That is quite different from these matches. It's a small percent of the Phantasy Star Online 2 playerbase as other stores, less features in complete, and even if these things were not true, it has a stigma that it won't easily shake. There's a reason Microsoft has been putting all their own IPs on Steam. They'd rather use pso2 as a tool to pull people into their shop than to ensure Phantasy Star Online 2 lasts longer than, say, PSU did.
Well sure... other platforms are more robust but win store has a massive install base because it's built into windows. SoT lives and dies based on mtx / store use whereas the other matches you've mentioned moving to vapor mainly revolve around paid customers. I do agree that something such as steam or stand would be better but that I disagree with the assertion that it's not healthy. Besides, the majority of the major features missing from the win10 store do not matter a lot for f2p matches (I do not desire reviews or extra return policies etc). On top of that, I suspect like every other version of PSO consoles will mostly drive the people. I don't forsee a massive swath of all PC gamers clamoring to play an 8 year old game that'd market appeal from word go. If windows store is a deal breaker for you then by all means skip itbut you're only punishing yourself.
First of all, I'm playing Phantasy Star Online 2 on Xbox and will play on PC. But I am not the one you gave to convince that the windows shop is fine. It's the new Phantasy Star Online 2 gamers that would've installed a whim, who would have seen it newly released, who would've seen their buddies playing on their friendlist and clicked the shop page to check it out. And if you do not think those people thing to a games life cycle, then market at all? Like I have said a few times, I am praying I'm mistaken. I really want Phantasy Star Online 2 to succeed and thrive regardless of where it is. Look at PSU shut down so early into its lifetime. Look after epic launch scraping by only because sales is being paid by epic up front at epic release. Assess the shop revenue numbers and consumer bases. Look from windows store at the Microsoft change to steam, and tell me there's nothing to worry about.
