New Genesis was always likely to be a international release on account of the value they saw in other Western MMOs like Final Fantasy and even games such as Monster Hunter.
The gaming industry was quite different eight years ago, which was a massive factor in why they decided to maintain PSO2 JP-only. Eight decades ago you had anime like Dragon Ball, Bleach, and Naruto, but not one of the main stream anime ever took away.
Anime has had this huge mega-boom, plus they knew making New Genesis a release would literally print money. However, how can you do that, and have each one of the cosmetics/weapons/mags carry over so that you don't lose players that invested a metric-fuck-ton of money in your present IP? Easy. Your existing a launch is made by you .
Anime is definitely larger today than it was 8 years ago, however, the animes you mentioned are the greatest animes. No matter Netflix/Amazon and CrunchyRoll have increased tremendously in the previous 8 years so even the non mega arcade strikes get seen more. Regardless, I'm glad to see PSO2 doing! They wanted to make it global and they are using PSO2 to build the franchise .
Okay? The Vita variant sold more than the PS2 version. The Steam variant offered more in 1 week than the PS2 version that even Sega stated they were amazed by the sale amounts, so they are now going to port more matches over to the PC, which demonstrates that his point further. They never ported matches because they believed it would sell like shit, but the series is much more popular than they however.
I'm brand new to PSO2, but I'm an avid mmo player looking out any I can get my hands on and I can't stop praising this game and just how fun and amazing it seems.
There anything about this game which clicks, it's this old mmo feel but is the right ways. Combat is amazing, from learning JAs, Monster attack patters and weak points, being able to switch classes to test them out.
