The OSRS team also has a severe lack of eyesight

If that is how you're considering it, then what exactly does collecting a few pixels do for you whatsoever? People like to play with video games and to set goals. It is mind numbing the number of people worry about others. Its not much about stress about the others, but giving a crap about nearly everybody else, because they think everyone thinks the same way. Game is grindy as it is dont have to force feed other people with it.
You don't need to purchase anything. The fact is that rs3 ironmen can cross faster than osrs ironmen since the xp rates are somewhat more manageable and you do not have to crouch in front of your notebook daily mindlessly clicking just to acquire meaningless progress. How can you manage to bring up ironman at a MTX dialog lol. All you said was rs3 has faster rates? Everyone knows any sort of achievement aside from a pvm accomplishment is meaningless advancement in rs3. The irony. Aside from pvming/ironman the game is nearly dead.
The over-promise and under-deliver because it gets people to get the premier club every year, and once they have their cash from that it is like they no longer give a fuck about the actual updates. Jagex has the skilling contract frame laid out a long while ago. For example, PoF contracts were added on the fly. It was only a ninja upgrade that required a couple of days. The question is do they have better implementations than skilling contracts.
It's amusing since osrs currently has wintertod and zolcano Skilling bosses that are pretty common content. I would assert the OSRS team also has a severe lack of eyesight. Every update tends to align with PvM/Slayer one way or another. Why do we need combat bosses for non combat abilities? What is wrong with bunch mini games? IMO this is actually the product of employing an whole generation of Devs that just knows PvM and nothing out of it. Hell, even the Mahogany Homes upgrade is just building that employs the Slayer task based program.
You don't use combat to kill Todt/Zalcano. They can hurt you, which I suppose is like them being in battle with you, but I'd say that is a part of what makes it a boss. Right, and I am wondering why do we need that for non combat abilities? Why does everything need to have a supervisor? Big game hunter is a good example of what a skilling boss might be in my opinion.
