Really wish I could provide a good answer to this issue but I haven't completed the research because the combat improvements update which changed many skills. The issue is that Jagex has really, really terrible communication between their writers and code guys, and both site and ingame descriptions are often completely false compared to the real code. A good instance of this is Wild Magic pre combat improvements: Its ingame and site description says that it must do between 25 percent and 250% damage, although in fact it did 73%-219% harm. There were many other mislabeled abilities pre combat enhancements.
Many abilities are likely still labeled incorrect, but I sadly don't have the data. The other thing I would have to know is the proper recharge times of abilities. Jagex has an incredibly annoying insistence on using moments, rounded imprecisely, rather than using decimal values or simply calling it"game pitches". Also, you really should NOT be asking pkers about dps since dps is of very little significance in pking - it's about stuns, defensives, prayer disrupts, and higher burst damage combos. If you attempt to pk someone with conventional pvm strategy they'll tank you for days.
I just Bought the Spider Orb in the Grand Exchange and utilized it in conflict underneath the Barbarian Village. The very first thing I noticed is that the cartoon seems to suggest the spell is coming from the Spider Orb (And not the Spider Wand, that I also have equipped). It takes 20 Magic to use. It's the off-hand equal of the spider wand, and it lets players cast spells with the off-hand slot"
What I don't understand is: it's the off-hand equivalent of the spider wand. It allows players cast spells with the off-hand slot. What does this mean exactly and should I even bother using it at all? And, I do not know what"off-hand slot" means. Well as I am confident you've noticed players can dual wield weapons now. In the past (as in pre-Evolution of Combat) besides 2 handed weapons your only options were to use a 1 handed weapon with a shield or a marginally offensive defense slot item like a Defender or a God book, but they were shields in concept. So now you have an excess option - you can wield a weapon and a shield for extra defensive bonuses (and can use a couple shield only defensive/constitution abilities) or you can dual wield weapons.
