It is possible to watch NBA 2K League teams play on PS5 and play in fan tournaments via the internet. We're excited to announce that we have a new partnership with NBA 2K League that makes PS5 the official console of the NBA 2K League. This month, and until the fourth season of the league, which kicks off this May, you will see all 23 NBA 2K League teams and the league's 138 players play on PS5 during games and at other events.
The partnership does not stop there! The multiyear deal with the NBA 2K League will also provide you, our worldwide fan base the chance to take part in online fan events that we host throughout the year. These tournaments will include NBA 2K League?related prizes. The first-ever online fan tournament is scheduled to take place next week, we are pleased to share this news. Starting today, PS5 players based in the United States can sign up to earn a place in the online Three for All Showdown Qualifier event, which will be taking place from Monday, April 5 and Tuesday, April 6*.
The winner of our online qualifier will be selected to play in a three-on-3 team with influential personalities Troydan and PoorBoySin in the second annual NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown competition on Friday, April 9 to Saturday, April 10 at 5:00pm Pacific Time / 8:00pm Eastern Time on the NBA 2K League's Twitch and YouTube channels. It's a thrilling chance to be part of the NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown event featuring NBA 2K League players fans, WNBA players, as well as social media influencers competing in NBA 2K21's "The City" game mode for an opportunity to share in a $25,000 USD prize pool!
