Madden 22 will not be released until the 17th of August but EA has started releasing player ratings for this latest version of its video game franchise. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was the second-highest-rated rookie at 78, which was a little behind Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts who received an overall score of 81. It's not a great rating, but it's an excellent score. We'll be watching to determine whether any Jacksonville Jaguars player gets a score higher than 90 this year.
This year there was no Jaguars player had a rating that was 90 or higher in Madden. Center Brandon Linder was the top-rated player with an overall score of 87 and kicker Josh Lambo was next with an 85 rating. Left guard Andrew Norwell and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue were the next most highly rated players with 83. EA released ratings shortly after Jacksonville exchanged Ngakoue to Fournette.
Other Jaguars players with an Madden 22 rating of above 80 were linebacker Joe Schobert (82) and EDGE defender Josh Allen (81) as also wide receiver D.J. Chark Jr. (81) and Myles Jack (81). Gardner Minshew, a quarterback had just completed a strong rookie campaign. He only managed to achieve a score of 70. Undrafted free agent running back James Robinson didn't originally pop into the mix, because he wasn't even on people's radars at the time.
Although there is a high chance that the Jaguars can surpass their expectations in 2022 , it's unlikely that any of their players will earn a Madden score of 90 or more. The Jaguars are having one of their worst seasons of franchise history which saw them lose 15 games in a row and a lot of players who had a rating over 80 in the last season experienced a decline in their production or were plagued by injuries. For that reason, they may have even the smallest number of players with an rating or greater.
Robinson was an amazing rookie in 2020, racking up 1,414 yards in scrimmage which is the highest ever recorded for an undrafted rookie in NFL History. His rating could be somewhere around 80, or possibly up to 82. Allen was limited to just eight games because of an injury to his knee, which reduced his performance.
