This is a fantastic point. Jagex has tested a few things, but this doesn't work for veterans players. These are quests. I visited Karamja for a quest, similar to why I visited Morytania as well as the desert. This is the main reason why you should go to those regions, but the issue is that once you're done there, you're done.
Slayer. This could make you an enslaver to the battle. A lot of slayer is bound up in the dungeons, however that's a necessary consequence of making certain areas available to all If I'm not equipped with the proper equipment, I'm not able to traverse an area with, say, aberrant spectres.
