All "special attacks" that caused many items to were destroyed, are gone. Dclaws for instance has gone from 13m to 500k. Every weapon now has tied stats. The long rune is now sporting the same stats that rune sword. The only difference is atk (slash/stab) style. Two-handed weps are 150% more efficient than 1h. 1handed weps are now available in an off-hand version which allows users to "dual wield" two weps at the same time. Dual weilding is also known as p2p. F2P only has one or 2 dual sheps.
The armor is linked, therefore all armors of lvl 50 come with the same stats. There are 3 classes to armour: range, mage melee and melee. Tier50 armor; batwing, rune and blue Dhide. All of them have the identical stats. They are just different classes. Someone who is able to range a man in rune will have the exact dps stats as someone meleeing a mage. Numerous things got nerfed/buffed. Deadly red spiders generated over 200k xp/h for p2p at 90+cmb stats.
It's been improved. Pking isn't a simple 'click atk-food-repe till u die' anymore. It requires timing, precision and reflexes as in addition to skill timing, precision and prediction. A man in bronze who is skilled in timing precise, reflexes, and prediction could be able to beat a man in rune who is clueless.
This is the first time I've logged into the site in over three years. It's incredible how the game has evolved. Although I had to quit the game back in 08/09 and changed to CSS I can still recall how much enjoyment I had playing this game with some of my buddies (tabt and goggie, taker, sleepy and many more). It's amazing to see how people and the game have changed. It's like looking back over the past 100 years. .
It's all different. The player base, the gaming and overall experience are completely different. The thing that I was most surprised by was the clan chat. It isn't quite as full as it was in the past. What's changed? It's awe-inspiring that a change of this magnitude can occur, but if I had been here all along I would not have noticed it so much. This is what I think it means when I think about the only post I posted to this account. It's just a completely different atmosphere and place that you are used to.
