EA has updated Madden 22's rosters for Week 3 in order to be in line with the performance of Week 2. This week's update did not have significant surprises, but certain players received a boost in their ratings.
The most significant change was the increase of two points in Rob Gronkowski's overall score for Tampa Bay Buccaneers tightend. In only two weeks, he's gone from an overall rating of 86 at the time of his debut to an overall rating of 89. In truth, he's definitely deserving of it. Over the course of two weeks, Gronk has already scored four touchdowns, and has racked up 12 receptions for 129 yards. He's in tip top form to start the year and there's a good chance that this won't be the last of his rating increases.
Another major name that could benefit from ratings boosts is Kansas City Chiefs strong safety Tyrann Mathieu. After missing Week 1 due COVID testing that was positive, Mathieu made his season debut in the game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. What a start it was with Honey Badger recording two interceptions one of which he returned for an touchdown. Mathieu's Awareness rating and catch rating rose by one point up to 99 and 82%, respectively. His overall rating is now 96.
