To prepare for the NBA's All-Star weekend, NBA 2K22 has announced the addition of additional cards for the game. NBA 2K22 will be adding celebrity cards as a way to raise money to promote the game's celebrity All-Star players. Quavo as well as The Game have been named the first two hip-hop stars that will be able to play in the franchise for a total of 10 years.
The game will also add the card of their Director of Marketing Digital Ronnie Singh. Quavo will be entering playing as an overall 89 point guard while The Game is starting at an overall 89, but will be listed mainly as shooting guard. Furthermore, Ronnie 2K will come in as an 88 total power forward.
These three athletes will be made available to use for the MyTeam component that is part of the game. MyTeam is a game mode that allows players to build their own teams with NBA legends, but now hip-hop celebrities as well. The players must take on the Triple Threat Challenges for each celebrity to unlock their card.
Once they've completed the challenge, players will unlock the cards which can be used in any single player game mode. While they may seem like difficult challenges, it's not be too hard as all of the challenges for the game mode are set to the novice difficulty.
