Deloris Jean (Fancler) Lenz, 81, corsets wholesale www.corsets-wholesale.com of Sedalia passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 at the home of her son in St. Martins, surrounded by her family.
Per her wishes, Deloris was cremated with no formal long gown dress www.longgowndress.com services. She will be interred at Trinity Lutheran Clark's Fork Cemetery on a later date.
She was born Dec. 18, 1935 to the late Walter Franklin and Lucille Adell (Harris) Fancler of Bunceton.
Deloris yuyiyrtyretr was a 1953 graduate of Bunceton High School and in 1955 earned a degree in Cosmetology. She worked professionally as a beautician and shop owner over the next 50 years in the Missouri cities of Tipton, Pilot Grove and Sedalia.
She was briefly married to Glen Eugene Langkop. On Jan. 25, 1958, she was married to Darrall Ray Lenz.
Family was the center of Deloris' life. She was dedicated to the raising of her children and later, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Self- appointed “Nana” to family and friends alike, she was happiest planning the next great family event or playing various games surrounded by her loved ones. A largely self-taught artisan, seamstress, gardener and cook, she was always involved in a project or 2 or 5.
She used her numerous creative talents while gardening, canning produce, designing and hand painting yard art, crocheting projects that included afghans and wool rugs, as well as sewing clothing for her family/community and costume projects for theatrical performances. She worked tirelessly, as many in her irreplaceable generation did to protect and advance her family's future. Her spirit and her voice will be greatly missed.
Deloris is survived by her children, Phyllis Sue Padgett of Sedalia, Mark Douglas Lenz of Jefferson City, Todd Edward Lenz and wife, Laura of Jefferson City, Darla Adell Lenz-Turnbough and wife, Kelly of Columbia; her grandchildren, Travous Ray Lenz and wife, Emilee, Krista Kay (Padgett) Franklin and husband, Brandon, Katie Jean Lenz, Timothy Jay Padgett; 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and siblings, Joe Fancler, Gloria Doty, and Jan Fancler.
